Seven months along...

So here is a picture of me at seven months or 28 weeks however you want to count it. It's not the greatest picture but I hate having pictures taken of just me, I feel retarded! This pregnancy is going really well and seems to be going by faster every day. I can't believe I am due in less then 3 months. It's been a really easy pregnancy which I have been very grateful for!

Aidan at 15 months!

I cannot believe how fast time seems to go while watching your baby grow. He is so active and just loves life. It's amazing to me the things he learns just from watching people. He is so smart! He went to the doctor on Thursday and here are his stats: He weighs 21 lbs. 11 oz. which puts him in the 13% (slowly gaining weight but at least he's progressing, 2 lbs to be exact every three months), he is 31.9 in. long which puts him in the 72% for his height, and last his head measures at 46.4 cm which puts him in the 30%. Aidan is such a joy in our lives, and we can't wait for his little brother to be born to add to that joy we feel with Aidan. Here's some fun facts about Aidan...

Happy Easter!

Easter was a little stressful but turned out great! I teach CTR 5 in the primary, so I had to prepare my lesson and on top of that I had to prepare a lesson for Sharing Time as well. I also had to cook dinner because we were having my three siblings, my brother's girlfriend, her sister and two of Ben's siblings over. I did however, have everyone bring something so it wouldn't be too stressful for me. I also got a head start Saturday working on the projects that I had to get done. I read over my lesson, then prepared my Sharing Time lesson, and I made our fruit salad. So on Sunday I could concentrate on making the dinner rolls, making sure the ham was taken care of, and getting myself and Aidan ready. Ben helped out with Aidan, and helped hide his eggs in the backyard so that we could give him a little Easter Egg Hunt. After church got out everyone came over and everything went really well. The food was great and I thank everyone for helping out! Aidan had lots of fun hunting for his Easter eggs. Oh and I forgot to mention that the Easter bunny did visit Aidan and brought him a basket full of candy, two books, a duck, a little football, and lots of chalk.

I am so grateful for this Easter holiday. It reminds me of what our Savior has done for us. I am grateful for the resurrection and for His atoning sacrifice. I am grateful that he has made it possible for us to return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father.

Congratulations Ben!

Ben, as some of you know, has been taking his CPA exams in order to get his CPA license. There are four sections: Financial, Business, Regulation, and Auditing. He just found out he has passed the fourth and final exam! What a relief it was to finally hear the good news. It takes almost a month to hear back on whether you passed or not. So congrats to Ben who is now almost through with the whole process. He has to take 2 quick State exams before he gets his license.

Ward Basketball!

Ben has been playing on our ward basketball team since Novemeber. They almost went undefeated in the "regular" season but lost one game by one point because their BIG man Dan wasn't there to guard the other teams BIG man. But none the less, they came out strong and won the rest of the games and became our Stake Champions. They went into regionals a couple of weeks ago and won their first game by a large margin. They played their second regionals game this last Thursday night. Once again they were missing a few key players, but they were not going to let that get in their way. They were winning by 10-11 points the entire game but unfortunately couldn't keep it going in the fourth quarter and lost! Ben was so frustrated by the game that he couldn't sleep at all that night. He was up until about 3am before his body settled down and let him sleep just to wake up at 7am to get to work in Ogden. One of the players nine year old boy started to cry after the game because he was so distraught by their loss. His mom tried to calm him down and he just told her she didn't understand. :( This player on the team has 4 boys, all under the age of 9, who would come to every game and cheer the team on. HUGE basketball fans! It was a great disappointment but what was most important is everyone had an amazing time playing for so long and for doing so well. Ben and I really got to know the people in our ward because of the basketball games. All in all, it was a blast.

Happy 25th Bday to me!

So I turned 25 on the 8th of March. My family was here for their spring break, so it was really nice to be able to spend it with lots of family. Saturday was a really laid back day. I made crepes for breakfast which is my favorite Saturday morning breakfast! We went down to Provo where we all had lunch together. I went and got my hair cut which I was really happy about because the girl did a really good job! After that we went shopping at the Quilted Bear and the mall. And for dinner we all went out to Brick Oven Pizza. Got to love that place! Much love to my family who was here to share this special day with me!

101 Dalmations

I hope everyone is ready! 101 Dalmations is coming to DVD on March 4th. I hope that everyone remembered to add The Aristocats to your collection as well which came out in February.

BYU vs. Utah

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Anderson, Ben and I were able to have front row tickets to the game. We had a lot of fun and Aidan loves dancing to all the music that goes on during it!

Happy Valentines Day!

Ben and I were able to find a great babysitter for Aidan so that we could go out on Valentines thanks to his cousin Ashley. I went to pick up Ben from work, since he rides the trax to the office. We went out to Ruby River Steakhouse and had an amazing meal. Ben had called in 30 minutes before we arrived which bumped our names to the top of their waiting list. We only waited about 5 min before we were seated. It was awesome. After dinner we went to see Fools Gold. I bought the tickets the day before and so once again no waiting in the long lines. It was also assigned seating which makes it for a very stressless trip to the movies on Valentines Day. Ben and I really enjoyed being able to go out just the two of us, something that's always hard to do.

Banana Chocolate Hazelnut Wontons!!!

This is one of the best desserts I have ever had. I found it in a Costco recipe book yesterday and thought it looked worth trying. No regrets! It's been a great hit in this family!

Ingredients needed: Wonton wrappers
Nutella
Bananas
1 egg

All you do is beat the egg and then paste it on the edges of the wonton. Then fill with nutella and slices of banana. Fold over the wonton to make a wedge shape and pinch shut. Fry it in a pan of hot oil on both sides until golden brown. Serve hot with powdered sugar and fruit or with ice cream. It's wonderful, I promise!

We are having another boy!

On February 4th I had my twenty week ultrasound and found out its another little boy. Ben and I are very excited for Aidan to be having a little brother with them being about 18 months apart.

Aidan finally learns to walk!

On January 20th Aidan decided to take his first steps ever while I was at church in Reno. Unfortunately for Ben he wasn't able to see Aidan until 2 weeks later because he was out of town on business. So in the meantime Aidan was mastering this new milestone of his. Everyday he gets better and better. He still prefers to crawl for the most part but every now and again he feels like getting up and just walking from room to room. He's pretty cute!

President Gordon B. Hinckley

Our dear Pres. Hinckley has passed away today at 7pm. What a great man he was but how happy we can be that he has now been reunited with his loving wife Marjorie. We will truly miss him as our prophet and leader. Pres. Hinckley June 23, 1910 - January 27, 2008. What a legacy he has left for the church and so many of us.

Aidans twelve month check up

Aidan had an appointment this past Thursday with the doctor. Everything went really well, although we did find out that he had a mild ear infection in both of his ears plus he has two more teeth coming in on the bottom and he had a little bit of a cold too to top it all off. The doctor said that everything looked good though. He had 5 shots given to him later in the appointment which breaks my heart everytime to see him go through that. Aidan weighed in at a whopping 19 lbs. which puts him in the 3% for his weight. He measured at 30.3 in. which puts him in the 58% for his height. He's growing slowly but surely. He's just a little tike, what can I say. Here are some pics from that day and a little video of him dancing to "LOW"!

Aidan turns 1!

On the 27th of December Aidan turned one. This would actually be the second time we celebrated Aidan's first birthday. The first was in Reno which we did because my mom knew she wouldn't be there to celebrate. He got a Tickle Me Elmo from Grandma and Grandpa Hutchens which he just absolutely loves! The second time we got to celebrate his birthday was there in Vegas with all his aunts, uncles and cousins and Grandma and Grandpa Anderson. Ben made him a cake that looked like a basketball. We sang to him and as soon as he put his hands into the cake he began to scream. He quickly cheered up when he started to open his many presents. Thanks to everyone for Aidan's birthday presents, he loves them all!

Christmas!

Oh where do I begin...let's just say our vacation started out on a rough foot. Ben wanted to leave to Brian Head on the 20th so he could go snowboarding. (Sidenote: we bought a Ford Explorer back in October, first because we needed a second car but also so we could have a 4-wheel drive during the winter and it would never be a problem for us to get up to the Anderson cabin.) So on Thursday I told Ben to check the weather to see which car we should take. He said it says it's sunny, so I didn't question him. We didn't get to leave as early as we wanted but we took the Focus. We pulled into Fillmore to get some dinner. We weren't there but 20 min before the snow storm (the one that Ben didn't see on the weather) had caught up to us. We left as quickly as we could. It didn't help too much because we were already sliding all over the place. About a mile or so outside of Fillmore we spun out. It was really scary but to our luck there wasn't anyone in front or in back of us close enough to be affected by it. We really took it slow after that. So slow if fact we went about 30 miles an hour all the way to Parowan which was like 90 miles away. We made it there in one piece kicking ourselves every minute for being so naive as to not take our explorer. Parowan had about 6-7 inches of snow by the time we got there and it was still coming down. We ended up staying the night at the Days Inn there and got up early the next morning to go up the mountain. We were lucky enough to get right behind a plow truck. Ben didn't want to miss out on all the new powder. He went snowboarding with his brothers Zach and Jerm but they didn't last very long because it was sooo cold and windy. For Ben though it was worth the trip. We left Saturday morning for Ephraim for the annual Baugh Christmas party. We had a lot of fun. Ben was happy because he won two of his Grandma Baugh's famous wool rugs that she loves to make. That evening part of the Anderson Clan drove to Sandy to Ben's aunt and uncle's to watch the BYU bowl game. There was lots of food and entertainment. Thank you Aunt Raylene and Uncle Greg. Sunday evening we went back to Aunt Raylene's and Uncle Greg's for a Anderson Christmas party. All the little kids got to hear Santa on the walkie talkie and had Christmas presents delivered from Santa's elves. Aidan obviously had no clue what was going on but he still had lots of fun with his new tractor he got! Monday morning we left at 5:30 am to Vegas. We arrived in time to get some last minute shopping done. We had a mexican dinner thanks to our sister in law Katy. Our Christmas Eve was a lot of fun. Aidan got a singing elf that he loved so much he couldn't stop hugging him. All the girls got camo pajama pants compliments of Kathy and Belmont. All the boys received matching camo hoodies. But in all the chaos before we arrived Ben and I forgot to bring Aidan's portable crib. So we made do...and he slept in a Christmas bin. Luckily Aidan is still small enough to be able to do that. It worked perfectly. Christmas morning was more then I could have ever hoped for. It was so much more fun for Ben and I now that we have Aidan and he is old enough to open his presents and play with them. Between us and Ben's parents Aidan got more things then he knew what to do with. His cousins helped him out by taking his toys from him and playing with them themselves. I think everyone had a wonderful Christmas though. I remember that morning I was helping some of my neices with which gifts were their's. I handed my niece Clara a gift that was her's and she simply replied, "No thank you." I guess she had had enough. :) Ben's parents were really good to all of us. Part of our present was getting to go to The Phantom of the Opera there in Vegas the next night for the second time. It was better then the first time. We were on the bottom row about ten rows back, it was amazing. Thank you to Belmont and Kathy for all you did for us while we were there. We really enjoyed our Christmas vacation. Our New Years was really layed back. We spent it at the cabin and watched the Bourne Ultimatum. We had fun though. Ben took Aidan on a snowmobile ride on the first which he absolutely loved! All in all it was a wonderful vacation which came to a quick end but it was definitely one to remember!
